The Amazon price today £519. Canon double cashback offer (19th Nov - 3rd Dec) -£100. Total price £419 :-(

Just as well I really like this camera.

Once you have bought an item, never go back and check the price. Because, you can bet your life, the price will have dropped. I always used to do this, and only once had the price risen.

Buy the discounted one for £419.

Then send it back with all the relevant paperwork for the one you bought for £509 and get a refund on that one.
