Hi all,

Have just tried to switch on my Sekonic L758D and dead as a dodo..

Am putting it down to the battery which is as above type....3V..looks like a camcorder type battery..

Anyway, can anyone recommend the best quality battery for it...the one I've removed as a Panasonic

I usually use 7Dayshop. Free delivery and the Panasonics are sub £1.60 if you buy a batch. Can't speak for the power station brand as I've never used them, but the Panny's are good batteries.

I'll have a look online and compare with High Street prices..

My lightmeter is the only gadget I use that takes these particular batteries and it only gets intermittent use, so I think I'll have to buy one at a time :thinking:

I'm pretty sure I have about six of these (Energizer iirc) and no equipment to use them in. If you like I'll check this evening and you can have them all in return for a bit of money in the 5d2 fund?

Thanks mate, but I'm only ever likely to get through 1 every 18 months/2 years, as my lightmeter gets a fair bit of use but this seems to be the average.

Apart from the Sekonic, I don't have anything else to use them in so can't justify buying more than 1 at a time..

PS. Why not put them on the "for sale" part of the forum. You never know, there may be someone who has several appliances which take the same batteries?
 
I used 2 these in my old EOS30 film body and bought about 6 at a time from 7dayshop. I kept them for a couple of years or more without problems.
 
Well just to update.. I bought 3 for the price of 2 at my local Boots - Duracell Ultra Photo which have an expiry date of 2018. Put one in my lightmeter this evening and works just fine now!
