Creek/Flowing river

As to the picture - it's not bad at all. Sky is a bit too bright and the picture may have been better without it .The water leads you in to the distance nicely.
 
Compositionally it's good, but as Robert said the sky is too bright.
As you say the camera isn't the worlds best ... Lots of blue fringing around the trees.
