cropping

ok guys ive just had a lovely photo sent to me by a tp member that i would like to get printed.

i want it printed a size 20inch x 16inch, now my problem is usually when i go to the printers puyt my usb n and load the picture up, choose my size and then it says it needs cropping.

i was wandering if this would work, if i open a new document in ps at the size i want then put the image on and save it when i go to printers will it be ok and not need cropping or is there another way round it

What I do:

In photoshop select the crop tool and (in your case) enter 20" x 16" at the top.

Then drag the crop out diagonally until it wont extend any further, and use the arrow keys to move the crop around to a decent composition.

Then you'll have an image at the correct size for print
