Went up to Heanor in Derbyshire this afternoon for the opening round of this years North Midlands Cross Country League (very hilly & wet)
Got to make sure I get the feet in the shot.!!

I like the way you have captured the look of sheer determination on the runners' faces.
Reminds me of when we had to do cross country runs at school..... not v pleasant memories!

Fit, sweaty chicks in Lycra? How did I miss this thread for so long?
I used to do similar stuff with MTB races in the South - girls hate looking at themselves covered in sweat and snot, so they never sold all that well; blokes on the other hand...

Some good captures here and don't worry about the feet so much - the second runner is full-length so it still works.
I'd like to see more of the racers' preparation and the aftermath of the race though - shoe-lace tying, embrocation being rubbed on, etc - that can often tell the story of a race-day far better than just images of the running itself.
