CS3,layer history?

Hi all.

Is possible to have a separate history panel for one layer rather than the history
for the whole project,so that you can go back and adjust that particular item and not delete back to that point.?


Does this make sense..............or is there another method

I don't think exactly what you want in the way that you want can be done. But something similar can be done using Adjustment Layers. Instead of adjusting say, for example, saturation, as a straightforward operation, create a saturation adjustment layer. You can then change saturation at any time without affecting anything else in the history - before or after. You can create adjustment layers for other changes in addition to saturation.
