CS3 Prefs'

Has anybody got any idea why my preferences will not stay put !! each time i open CS3 80 out of 100 times i have to reset my prefs, why will they not stay set until the next time ???:bang::bang:

Which particular preferences are you talking about? And do they all reset back to the default or just some of them?

Open Bridge auto, Grid spacing & bicubic smoother are the settings i notice mostly, and yes i think they do reset to default.

That's very odd. I wonder where CS3 is writing those preferences and if something you are inadvertently doing happens to overwrite them or cause them to reset.

I'll see if I can dig something up for you.

I've got good news and bad news.

The good news is that I've had a brainwave. CS3 will be writing your preferences to a master file that it loads on startup and uses to arrange your workspace, set your preferences, etc. If this is corrupted it would explain the issues you are having.

The bad news is that I'm still trying to figure out where that might be.
