CS4 "Not enough stoage space"

Hi,

Photoshop CS4 has suddenly started telling me "Not enough storage space to perform this task" when I try to open a thumbnail. Then it freezes.

It's been fine since I installed it about a year ago, and the drive it's on has about 250gig of space on it.

Anyone got any ideas?

Mine does this sometimes too when I try to open too many photos. I find I can open about 8-10 anything over that I get the same message so I just open a few at a time now. Problem solved for me.
 
Have you allocated enough space for the scratch disk? Look in the preferences. May be that's the cause?

Hi Carol, yes I've set the scratch disc to what it suggests, about 1300.
Strange how it's only just started doing it.
 
If its a pc have you de-fragged the hard drive recently?
 
By scratch disc do you mean virtual memory ? If that is set low that maybe the issue .
