Anyone got any opinions about these? Particularly the Nanomax 260?
It's a 3 way rather than a ball head but the price looks pretty reasonable.
Or.....will I find it frustrating to use and soon wish I'd put some more nuggets towards a Red Snapper with a ball head?
A search in this section only comes up with one recommendation so I gather from that they're not a particularly common brand?

Only you can decide whether you want a 3 way or a ball head. A 3 way head can give easier finite adjustment and you can tackle one plane at a time which is why many prefer them for landscapes.
Ball heads can give much quicker adjustment- I prefer them for portraits but it's personal taste- I've taken landscapes using a ball head as well.

No experience of Cullman but I recall someone on AV forums buying one and they seemed happy with the quality.
 
I do not have the Nanomax 260, but I do have several other Cullmann items and as far as quality is concerned they are excellent.
I have a smaller, older tripod (travel) that goes hiking with me in my rucksack and it stands up to all that can throw at it.
Do i reccomend them? yes!
 
Having only ever used a rubbish aluminium wobbly one with a 3 way head I'm not really sure what I'd prefer but I've now realised I can get a new Red Snapper RS-283 for less than the Cullmann 260 so that may be what to go for as they seem very highly recommended.
Having said that, I've noticed there's a Cullmann 260 for sale on here so I may enquire further. ;)
