D2X Battery EN-EL4a

firstly i'll say sorry for all the questions

I could do with a spare battery for my D2X is it worth buying a cheaper spare/replacement battery that you see on ebay and do they last as long as the original Nikon EN-EL4a battery or do i just swallow the cost and buy the offical replacement Nikon ?

I have one of the replacements, works very very well in my D2x, not had any problems yet.
