Hello.

I haven't been on here for a while but a recent trip to Budapest gave me a real passion for cameras once again.

Anyhow.

I have been using my trusty Panasonic Lumix DMC-L1 with its Panasonic/Lecia 4/3s lens L-ES014050 and always had good results but decided to treat myself and ordered a Nikon D3300.

Now is it possible to use the 4/3 L-ES014050 lens on the D3300 with adapters?. (Auto focus/Zoom not being auto isn't an issue).

I have tried Googling but with no luck, I see micro 3/4 adapters but not 4/3s.

Here is a link to the lens http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-VARIO-ELMARIT-F2-8-3-5-L-ES014050-Japanese/dp/B000KJTPLQ

Its a great camera/lens but I just needed a far smaller camera lens for everyday use.

Now what I'm asking might sound like a stupid question but I have always found you guys very helpful so would like to thank you in advanced.

No. The rear-registration distance is wrong, so the lens would not focus at anything further away than a couple of feet.

I think your basically limited to tampon adapt all and t2 screw for small average sized lens for Nikon
andholga lens

How disappointing but as always a big thanks for reply's. I always new the tampon on the lens gave me issues ;) Might have to sell it to buy come Nikon fit lens.

Thanks again.

A deal come up with the D3300 I couldn't say no to. Oh well I'm sure I will have some fun with the kit lens :)

Autocorrect :(
tamron
My autocorrect comes up with Tamron. I guess it learn the words you tend to use. I find myself writing about Tamron quite a lot. What do you write about?

one source of adapters is that auction site, but does not work well for Nikon bodies. The problem is that to have infinity focus (as opposed to macro) corrective optics are necessary and this causes significant loss of IQ

The best bodies to use are the Canon APS-C where an adapter can be a simple ring with a Canon mount on the outside and the lens mount on the inside.

Some adapters are chipped which - and can I make it clear - to allow autofocus confirmation

try this forum to see what others are using
