Nikon D40 + kit lens £224.
 
That's a great price!

Makes me wonder how much it costs Nikon to produce? Taking the bits apart, lens £70, battery £15, strap £5, front body cap £5 ... that means you're getting the camera body for little over £135! That's dirt cheap for such a fantastic camera (y)

I've bought a number of these (D40) in the past year, as presents ... they were priced at £300 with a £40 rebate. Even then they were a bargain for what was available. It is a fantastic camera, I call it my S & C camera (Small & Cute), and is wonderful for all sorts of situations.
 
I think that this argos offer is only for a limited period - apparently its in one of their sale leaflets.
 
Very good Strobist camera too, as it can be tricked into sync'ing at up to 1/4000 against 1/250 for the likes of the D2/300 (y)
