Managed to source a D700 - compact flash card, is there a limit to memory? Found a site that says 32GB is the max it will take. Is this correct?
 
I'm like a kid with a new toy. Bought the Nikon 50mm 1.8D to go even more retro. Taking it on holiday to Greece to see what it can do.
 
Re memory cards my opinion is to have 4 32GB cards rather than one 128GB card , if it fails and you have no backup , :oops: :$:mad::nikon:D700 :cool:
 
D700 is brilliant, such a bargain now too, enjoy!

Post up how you get on with the D700/AF-D combo. Have been considering getting one myself to use with a 50mm af-d amongst other things.
Using the 50mm af-d on my F4 the af isn't half slow and noisy, is it any quicker/quieter with the D700 ?
