D90 18-105 kit lens

I have the D90 with the 18-105 VR lens - it's a beauty.
The range is excellent for most things and the quality is nice and crisp.
If you are forking out cash on it, you might like to look at the 18-200. I don't know what the difference is in price, but I do miss the extra length I had with the 200mm. Moon shots for example were great on the 18-200, but I don't think the 18-105 quite cuts it.
I have a D90 and 18-105 for sale by the way if you are looking second hand. Not the reason I posted, just an after thought.

It's partly the reason I'm asking the question Barry
I'll probably be too late in making my mind up as I'm very slow and deliberate that way and it will be some hours if not tomorrow before I could organise and make an offer. I will keep an eye on it though. I might have to sell first if I can't raise the cash so I'm weighing up all options at the mo.

The 18-200 I had was a Tamron lens. Price wise it wasn't too different, I paid £130 for it and I think the Nikon 18-105 goes for about £150.
The quality of picture is very different though - partly down to the VR I think. Maybe someone else has more experience and could tell you a bit more about the difference?
It's a popular lens and there are lots of people out there that use this as their main walk around.
The only other lens I have owned is the Nikon 18-55 - that def didn't have enough zoom range.
