D90 err message and lens jamming on

Recently my D90 has started give 'err' on the LCD, does it with all lenses. About every 40-50 shots, normally just loosen the lens and tighten again and it is OK. I will clean the contacts to see if it solves this problem.

More worryingly the 18-105 lens sometimes jams on. When you press the release button and try to move the lens it won't move until you apply a bit more force. It then gives a loud click before coming off. Can't see anything obviously wrong inside.

It is now out of warranty. Has anyone else had this problem.

I think my friend is having the same issue, no idea what it is tho.. anyone else any wiser?

I think its the locating pin gets slightly bent. Ive heard of it before but not encountered it. Should be a simple fix if someone with better knowledge can confirm.

Ive heard of lenses getting stuck on permently from this, 2 options, break it off, or disassemble the camera!
