With one damaged leg that I posted a week or so back. But look at the damage round the beak.

Damage looks mainly on the right side below the eye

Found minced sunflower a temptation to come down to the table.

Still manages the fat balls.

Close up of the injuries - or is it parasite damage.
It still takes seed up to a branch and attacks it there as it's usual habit, but was surprised today to see the state of it as it has been a regular visitor for the past week or so.
Unfortunately it does not look good for survival much longer.

Looks superficial, so as its got over the initial shock and is still flying and feeding there is a pretty good chance it will still be around. It was quick enough to get away from whatever did the damage and the weather is going to improve so with a bit more luck it could make it.

Sorry Posted twice Put it down to old age!!!!!

I thought it had lost its beak in the first shot :(

Poor thing :(

I'll copy the post to the other thread so this one can be deleted!

Nice shot, but it might be a hard blue tit. It might have just had a cat for it's lunch.

The vinnie jones of the animal kingdom.

Great tits can be very nasty and have been known to kill the smaller blue tits.

Looks like window damage. Seen this before on small birds that have flown into house windows or patio doors etc.

Leg damage looks unrepairable but the beak and face should recover in time.

Poor little chap that looks sore to say the least.

This should help, Phantom of the dawn chorus.
