Dark leaves.

Taken before I'd seen Adams backlit leaves image - how many more people take photos of leaves when they're stuck in
Not to everyones taste but I quite like it - the background for me seems to receed more than it should due to the high contrast leaves - must have sat for ages cropping this image to different levels but finally settled on this version.
Shot against a black background which was darkened post processing due to being covered in cat fur
Usual levels, brightness/contrast, curves & high pass sharpening applied.

although if i was being picky i would have liked it a little lighter..
also the copyright " which i like" is taking over the shot all imho :shrug:

I like it. The contrast is great and you can really see the texture of the leaves. There may be a bit too much space at the bottom though and the leaves to centrally placed.

I agree with H.R. on this one Mike, looks much more appealing with the leaves centered on the bottom third. I like it

Lovely work Mike, texture and colour in the leaves is great, lighting is spot on. Compositionaly you could probably lose a tad off the bottom.
