Not sure if people are aware or not but there is a free airshow at Eastbourne at the weekend (I believe it starts on Thursday in fact) including a couple of displays by the Red Arrows. More details at http://www.eastbourneairshow.co.uk **Been & Gone!**

Then over the Bank Holiday weekend there will be more air displays (including the Arrows again) as part of the Port Of Dartmouth Royal Regatta (http://www.dartmouthregatta.co.uk) at Dartmouth in South Devon. Add to that various waterborne events ranging from traditional rowing, a parade of steam powered vintage craft, and lots of fun events including the now legendary waterborne tug-of-war!

Both! :D

I guess I should declare an interest in the second of the two.....my other half's family come from Dartmouth so we're regular visitors - in fact we will both be "tin rattling" down there to help with raising funds for the regatta. It's great for pictures though - I failed to mention that on the Thursday and Saturday evenings there will be huge fireworks displays over the River Dart - oddly enough I won't be rattling my collecting tin during those....:p

Cheers! I will! :D

An unashamed bump for this thread. Regatta is now in full swing - we drive down late tomorrow night so will be there for the fun and games of Friday, and Saturday for (weather permitting) the Red Arrows and Fireworks display. There is also a fireworks display tomorrow evening (Thursday) at 9pm (Saturdays will be at 9.15pm). If you're within driving distance then why not pop down for a look - parking is available at the park & Ride just outside the town, and Dartmouth can be reached via the steam train (see! MORE picture opportunities!) from Paignton or by bus from Paignton/Torquay.

:D
