Date on a Coronet Captain

I've found an old Coronet Captain in my Granda's house, just wondering if anyone could give me a rough year on when it was made? Have had a look around the interweb but found very little, apart from the caption in the below photo that it may be 1940's.

It's this camera (not my image):

That's a very nice looking camera, I do hope you're going to put a roll of film through it soon..

Yeah 1950s. I like the covers for the viewfinders, the Coronet Ambassador is similar. Coronet made cheap, cheerful cameras, lots of them are pretty good looking.

I just opened it and seen there's a half used roll inside it so going to finish it, may well be some old photos on the first half but I'll definately try and get a new roll for it and shoot some stuff on it. Was a nice surprise to find at the back of an old cupboard.
