decent compact for £100...

hi folks

okay,i'm looking for an half decent compact camera to take with me on my cycle rides,walks etc..when i don't want to lug all my DSLR and gear around with me,and will fit nicely into my bum bag.i'm not expecting the world for my money,just something decent enough to take good shots..

I've had a few IXUS compacts - very solid and nice to use.

The Waspy picture I've just put in the Macro section was taken with it.

Don't think you can go wrong there - I have an Ixus 60 somewhere and got some shots I really like with it.

As has already been said get the best Canon IXUS you can afford, I've given this advise to loads of people and purchased two as gifts without recieving a complaint. They are simple well made and as a point and shoot produce good results.

I've always found Canon Ixus to be good. Lumix do some nice compacts too.

You can't go wrong with the Ixus range, and some of them are tiny.

The two or three Lumix owners I know are happy with them.

Would be my choice also, I have an old IXUS55 and it is great at what it does, really nice and compact as well

My favourite compact is the Canon IXUS. I had a IXUS 500 for ages till it just packed up on me one day. If I were to buy another compact I would probably buy the IXUS 95 for £100 mentioned earlier.
