Nothing wrong with that picture

scrag68 - A DSLR will do a better job but you could get a shot like this with a compact camera. A tripod is not essential but will greatly improve your chances of getting it sharp. A polarising filter can also help make the shot more dramatic (if the sun is in the right direction) by making the sky darker and reducing glare on water.
