Spotted in a tree whilst driving along a road in Thorpness, Suffolk, yesterday.Screeched to a halt, hasty change of lenses, and there you are.....

I know that there are areas where there a quite a few cockatiels and similar but somehow I don't think East Suffolk is one of them! Shame about the tree branches obstructing the view but not a lot I could do about that!

Blimey. I always thought that when these birds got into the wild they were mobbed by other birds and didn't survive long. Good capture. :)

Cheers CT! Must say I thought so too - but this one appeared to be sleeping quite happily!

It didn't talk then?

Not to us anyway - in fact so far as we could hear it wasn't even snoring!

bit on the unusual side innit!

good capture, I didn't think they survived in the wild either

You did well to spot that while driving!

They don't survive long in the wild, it has likely either escaped or the owner let it go due to worries about birdflu
