No, if you want the "stofen-type" then it needs to be the version specifically designed for that gun.

I got a sto-fen copy for my hvl-f43am from ebay for £1. including postage... took 3 weeks for delivery, but worth the wait for the price...

I know it says HVL-F42AM but they fit!!
