Have you been able to fit a diffuser on the new flash Dave to soften the light?

Hi Alby.

No diffuser yet. I am open to suggestions as to how to do it though. The light can be a bit harsh. Have been using it in manual and trying to keep the power down as low as I can.

Not sure Dave but don't place anything up against the head as it may overheat. You could try a couple of thin lengths of milk carton and a piece of kitchen roll in between or if you use the curved edge of the carton it may fit better holding them on with a couple of rubber bands? Just experiment with it

a mate of mine uses a rizla cigarette paper to diffuse the flash .. and they come in different thicknesses too and even a have a handy gum strip for sticking in place !
