Do I need a Linear or Circular Polarizer?

Hi Everyone,

I own a 450D DSLR and was wonder which type of Polarized Filter I need as there is two that I know of?

Do I need a Linear or Circular Polarizer?

I almost always use Manuel Focus if this makes and difference at all.

You need circular for any DSLR.

if you are using spanish focus then AFAIK a linear polarizer will work perfectly well , it would however confuse the autofocus.

As has already been said, for DSLRs, you need a circular polariser.

What lens(es) are you planning on using with the polariser? You might need a slim one if you are going to use it on a wide angle lens.

The Lenses are the Stock 18-55mm Lens and a 55mm-250mm Lens (But that is in a few months)..

I bought a Marumi CPL a while ago, it appears to be a good quality piece of kit. Worth a look when you decide to buy.
