Not really? The hotel is 100% responsible for it's own H&S and even responsible for the contractor on site... i.e. the photographer. This sounds like a cushty deal so it's the hotel that's responsible...

Erm. no. I suggest you read up on commercial insurance.

As a hotel owner, I employ Fred to fix a loo. Fred as a self employed plumber needs to have his own insurance because if he ruins my hotel's sewage system, is that my fault or fred's?

What has that got to do with H&S ?

Ok, forget Dinner and wine. What if I was staying at the hotel, took some pictures and posted them on Trip Adviser, maybe add them to my Flickr account too. Do I still need insurance just in case someone trips over my camera bag and dies?

?

Nope, as no contract in force.. you as a guest are taking pics with no reimbursement to you in cash or kind..

Splog - you talk out of your arse.

Again.

If you don't know, shut up!

The S bit, Safety... as in don't leave crap laying around so idiots such as you, don't "accidentally" trip over them, then try to submit a £20k P&I claim through the MOJ portal.

Oh what a surprise... It seem's to me, that I have kicked the troll's nest tonight....

Whatever Steve.

I apologise for having a very good understanding of commercial underwriting..

Rubbish it was a bit of fun, don't take yourself so seriously!

I thought it was funny and could see it as a bit of fun  Some people...... huh!

Perhaps, but why did you quote my post about H&S? ....

surely that will be obvious then. H&S nazis thinking of risks that are not really there to any reasonable adult, of sound mind and competence.......

However, regrettably, we have dragged this off topic , but if you want to argue it out, more than happy to, off this thread..

Lynton, perhaps you should read the thread! How do you get my posts to be H&S Nazi thinking? I've said quite clearly that there isn't a problem and that the risks are virtually zero

Time to close this thread me thinks, the op has now completed the job so no point in continuing a discussion which is spiralling into pettiness.

Why? The op's question is still valid and the thread shows the differing opinions

One big box of manpons on order for this thread.
