Hey all,

I recentely calibrated my monitor with the Spyder 2 and since then the buttons on my website seem to be a tiny bit different to the background colour, even though in photoshop they have the exact same background colour as my website.

Here is what I mean, I asked a few friends and they said they couldn't see any difference, but they don't have calibrated monitors.

Here is an enlarged screen shot of what I mean:

Only on the laptop but i can see the difference in your enlargement. Struggling to see it on the website though.

The weird thing is I don't see the difference in colour when I rollover the image... The rollover image is a .gif and the normal buttons, when not rolled-over are .jpg ?

Odd?!

My guess is that there is a colour profile attached to the jpg. My advice would be to make all the button graphics gifs.

What side is the colour profile attached? on my PC, or on the server? as there is also another photographers website i've noticed that I see the difference in the buttons that I didn't used to.

Your PC, it will be how you saved it. Jpegs support them, gifs don't, changing file formats of something that is meant to lok the same is just asking for trouble imho.
