Just a couple taken over the past week while the sun was out.

Red Admiral that didn't seem to mind me sitting next to it.





Male common darter (I think) dragonfly that didn't seem to mind me towering over it.
I just wish it would rest on something less boring than the wood hide at the nature reserve. (Best viewed bigger IMO)

Aye, that they do Dan... Superb detail, sharpness and colours I can never get close enough to them.

I think the butterfly is my fave, just because its the first time I've been able to sit like that next to one without disturbing it. The dragonfly in the third though, that was so tolerant of me. I spent minutes gently coaxing it onto different perches, and then it waited while I cleared some grass to remove shadows. I even started talking to it, saying what I was doing!
