Does anyone collect old digital cameras?

I don't know where my Canon IXUS v2 went - I bought it in 2003, when I lived in the Netherlands. I'd quite like another one for sentimental reasons, but I expect that if I buy one, I'll find my original one in a box somewhere.

Couldn't resist grabbing this Nikon D1x just to have a go with it. What a beast. Always wanted to shoot with one of them.

I'm not going to keep it long as I have all the digital equipment I need.

I don't collect them as such but my workhorses are Fuji X-T2s from 2016 and my favourites are Leica M9s from 2009.





and my latest addition Leica M9-P from 2011.

I did pickup a number of ancient digital compacts, a few years back to attempt DIY conversion to IR. I wouldn't have paid more than £3 for any of them though.

My real (interchangeable lens) digital cameras are all quite old these days - ranging from 2006 to 2015. Most of them would have been under £300 when I got them & they're certainly more capable than those compacts.
