Does Canon 450D have Mirror Lock-Up?

Just found out about MLU etc

curious if the 450d has this function? or if it has a work around with the 2 second self timer as I have read that work on a few cameras, or even the DOF button, does it lock the mirror or is it only temporary?

Yes it does, custom function 9
 
just incase it tricks you like it did me at first, the first press on shutter locks mirror up, second takes shot. dont forget to turn it off once youve finished otherwise a week later you'll think you got a broken camera :bang::bang:

You should also have the view finder cover on the neck strap as well
