Sorry about all the pic lately but i have been busy. Opinions on if this composition works or not.Would have preferred the top branch to be sharp and in focus---or should i do away with the branch all together?

Crop the branch out but leave as much space above her as possible to 'look into'...

Agee the top branch does nothing for the shot and has to go, with a solid blue sky it is an easy clone job

Ok does this look better. Unfortunatlely i delete all raw images ones i have looked at them and decided which ones i want to take a JPeg from--i needed to clone from the 1st Jpeg--this is because my hard drive is almost full.

Just a couple of points...
Much better without the twig.
I would also crop the bottom about halfway up the branch - my eye is drawn to the broken bark.
The feathering need to be less, zero round the head and beak as it now looks out of focus.
Have you sharpen the image?

slightly tighter crop. I take the point about the broken branch and will ammend later. Thanks for the comments everyone.

Yeah i always do a little unsharp mask. Settings are usually around
Amount--120
Radius- 1.1
Threshhold- 0
