Been saving hard and xmas has provided me with boost to now purchase the long lusted after lens - but low and behold I discover a 2nd lens but cannot find a proper comparison between the two

So kind folk of the forum your opinions would be welcomed

Original choice - Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 EX DG OS HSM Lens for Nikon
Now this - Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 EX DG APO OS HSM for Nikon

also saw this just to confuse matters further Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 II EX DG APO HSM Macro Autofocus

It is to go on Nikon D5200

Your advice and opinions will be must welcomed
 
The first two are identical, the third one doesn't have optical stabilisation, so depends if you want that or not.
 
It seems there's no difference in the first 2, just the way it's been written on the web page. The APO notation, which means it has at least 2 low dispersion glass elements, is explained better here http://www.sigma-imaging-uk.com/lens/telephoto-lens/apo-70-200mm-f28-ex-dg-os-hsm Click on the APO icon to the left of the lens photo and it will bring up a pop up explaining all the different notations. I swapped my Canon 70-200 f2.8L IS MkII for a Canon mount with a friend who has the Sigma for a few hours one day and the IQ in the centre of the photo is superb. It loses a little sharpness toward the edges but at wide f-stops you wouldn't notice anyway. It's not as good as the Canon overall, the Sigma's AF seems slightly slower as well, but you can get some great shots from it.
