They do seem a touch overexposed to me - all that shadowy foliage is going to be fooling your meter, so it may be an idea to dial in a stop or so of negative compensation, or spot meter mr. Heron.

As challenging as it may be, there's also some real potential for cracking shots in early evening light - have you tried that one?

I'm going to go down when the sun is setting, it prob wasen't that good a day for it today cloudy and dull. Was at iso 1600 all the time or 800 if i was lucky.
