Durham Cathedral - Revised image

Took this a few weeks ago and only just got round to processing it, C&C appreciated

I am no expert, so here goes,

Love the shot and detail, like to see it in B&W, however would crop the sky, reducing it so that the eye focuses on the detail of the buildings.

It's a really nicely composed shot imo but the lower building (boathouse?) is also very bright in comparison to the Cathedral itself & seems to draw the eye straight away.

Ahh my home town when i back in UK, real nice shot, but i would rather see more river than sky.

Nice shot, but I agree that I'd rather have more river and less sky. I'd also be tempted to straighten the buildings so they don't lean to the right. I'm also not overly keen on the sepia, or the banding in the top left.

Sorry, that sounded far harsher than its meant to be! Still a good shot overall.

Cheers for the comments See what you mean about the sky, may have to go back and re-shoot it with more river in.
