I'm a big fan of sharing my photos, and although nothing beats a good print, there are many occasions where a nice DVD slideshow of images really suits (like bundling together snaps from a particular event, holiday, wedding etc).
I've done a few of these, using various tools and I'm pretty happy with the results. However, I've really struggled when it comes to burning the DVD. All of the menus that are made available by these programs are just horrible. I've tried demos of many programs out there, even specific DVD menu creation tools, and can't find anything I like. I eventually (as a last resort) gave Windows DVD Maker a go (bundled with Vista) and it's absolutely fantastic! Very slick motion menus, really easy to use.
My one criticism is that it's not very customisable. What I'd like is something with the slick motion menus of Windows DVD maker, but allows me to alter it to suit my needs.
