just took this photo of the E-string on my electric guitar using my sigma 105 macro lens! thanks for looking, dan.

You would have had more people looking at this thread if you had photographed the G-string. :naughty:
Nice shot though and that looks like a sharp lens.

I've been meaning to post some macro guitar shots for a week now... I'll get myself sorted out and get some up for comparison! That must be a very new string, all mine are dull and blackened! Great picture! love the detail in the blemishes on the pickup pole
 
haha yes i did want to do the G-string but the G-string is smooth unlike the E-string which i think looks cool lol! the guitar is only a week old so thats why the strings are nice and clean. i cant actually play the guitar too good yet but im learning! :D yeah get some photos up meehaja!! heres the G-string anyways...:naughty:

Same here, I can see the crud in my strings without the aid of a close up! :LOL:

Should have been a P-Bass...
