I got a good response last night but I'm after C&C from other photographers... Cheers!

Some great shots

Luke as I've never shot in a night club environment a quick question what lens did you use and did you use your speedlight?

Cheers.

Yep, basically I had my 50D (with BG-E2n), 580EX II and 10-22. I was shooting on manual everything. Mainly f/3.5, ISO 100, AWB and shutter speeds from 1/60-3". The Speedlite was set to 1/16 most of the night (I believe).

Thanks how do you find the 50D as I'm thinking of buying one in the near future.

It's amazing. I was used to the 400D, then the 450D and the 50D was a major upgrade so it'll feel even more extreme if you're used to the 350D.

Just my 2p but I don't like any of the light trails in the shots think it ruins the photos.

Where you using 1st or 2nd Curtain?

Cheers for the comments. I know the light trails are very Marmite but I love them. I knew the effect I was going for and I'm happy with them. I could have used a wider aperture and bumped the ISO up to get rid of them, but it was intended.

They were shot with the bog-standard 1st curtain.
