Well spring has sprung. A couple flower shots converted B&W in photoshop. Shot with a d70s/24-85Nikon Zoom. ISO 400 1/500 @f8 and 1/400 @f10.

This is my first official posting of pictures here, so go easy on me. :)
I hope these are within forum size limits. I believe I got it right.

Thank you. And Im gathering you live across the pond. So no not that pennsylvania. I live about an hour from Philadelphia and an hour and a half from New York City. Right about in the middle. Lots of flowers and nature around me to shoot. :)

I really dig your pictures. Amazing. Some great shots. How do you do the flowers with the pure white background? I haven't figured out high key images yet. Is that a "trick" or do you actually shoot them against a white background?

Erm no actually Eddie. The image dimensions are fine but the physical image size is way over - you're allowed 160kb. You can either delete the image tags and just leave the links - or resize the pics. I'll leave them till the morning then I'll have to nuke 'em if you haven't altered them. :D

Nice shots btw!

Thanks for the compliment!

The only trick is remembering how i did it!

IIRC I shot the tulip against a white background using natural light, I then just used the white point dropper in photoshop to select the darkest patch on the background. I may have made a mask to protect the tulip first but I can't remember. HTH?

Close to what I would have guessed. Just wasnt sure if there was a "trick" in there somewhere. Thanks! I can never remember how I did things either. ;)
