Ebay 80-200 Dodgy Sale Maybe?

Is this really the AF-S version of this lens or just a dodgy re-badged AF version?

Cant find any pictures of an AF-S with the nameplate at the top of the lens so I reckon its aa AF-D with the wrong badge....was thinking of purchasing until I did a bit more research.....

Cheers,,
Neil

Well the first picture (which looks like an eBay stock picture) is of the af-s, but the other two look like the older push/pull 80-200 mm. The sellers description is very vague. I'd stay away from this one

Nikon did make a afs version of this lens.

Pictures on ebay dont fully show the condition though and hardly anything in the description. I would also give it a miss.

Yep, definitely not going after this one.
It just seems the badge is in the wrong place for the AF-S version....all the photos of the AF-S I can find have the badge at the mount end of the lens...and vice versa for the AF version....and this one is definitely in the wrong place. Seller may not be aware.....but I'm sure its hooky!

Its an "AF Zoom Nikkor 80-200mm f/2.8D ED Dual Rings MK III"
