Eek - play in 70-200 2.8L?

Just noticed there seems to be quite a bit of play between the end section with the manual focus ring and the rest of the body of the lens. Anyone else had this? Is it something I should be worried about/get sorted out? The operation of the lens seems to be fine, it's just a bit annoying/concerning.
 
We've had that happen to 7 of our Canon 70-200 f/2.8s. It's not uncommon when a lens gets to be 18-24 months old if it sees a lot of use (as ours do).

I don't know whether it's something you need to be worried about. From our point of view we have to get them sorted out, so we send them to Canon at Elstree for repair. The cost has varied from £40-£120 for reasons I don't understand.
 
Thanks Stewart. I've just bought the lens from MBP Photographic - I can't remember if it was doing it when I first got it but I've barely used it. Tempted to see if they will fix it for me.

I would give Matt at MPB a call - he's very good at sorting out such problems.
