Elements 4.0 - or maybe Adobe in general

I've asked this in another section but maybe it was the wrong one as no-one seems to have responded

My computer (PC) has suddenly decided it doesn't like either Photoshop CS2 or Elements 4.0. I've uninstalled Elements 4.0 and reinstalled and it just won't run! I click on the icon and nothing so I tried running the executable file from the program folder and although all the files seem to have been downloaded it won't run - but it did yesterday!!!

Any ideas? I've got a load of photos to process!

restore settings with your system backup (should be in your comp settings section) to yesterday or befor

Thanks for replying .... will do that but will reset to Friday I think as that's when CS2 started having a hissy fit as well.
