I know the Ensign Selfix 820 Autorange Special is a little different.. but.. this special?
 
I saw that yesterday and nearly spilt my coffee. Its very nice but it ain't 2 grands worth of nice, although 11 bids prove otherwise.

It's the second or third boxed 820 AS I've seen on Ebay or elsewhere recently, either that or the same one is getting repeatedly sold for around the £2,500 mark. And to think I thought the uncoupled 820 Specials were getting pricey these days.

For a grand less I think I'd prefer the Fuji G617 and get some really hu-uge MF negatives.
 
I agree, that there Fuji is a thing of beauty.

That mint, presentation box example has a lot to answer for if one with obvious signs of use can now start with such a high premium.

Guess these are collectors items?

The same camera without the built in rangefinder sells for about 10% of the cost!
 
erm sold for £2418 .....for that money I'd get more enjoyment from:- a ETRSi and RB67 with a nice range of lenses.
