EOS 5D and 300EZ

Hi,

I've finally decided to succumb to digital (a nice bonus and a Canon cashback offer combo ) and I'm just wondering whether a Canon Eos 5d and speedlight 300Ez are compatible? it's an old 300ez that I rarely use (flash isn't my thing), but before I take the plunge I'd like to know whether it works in any way shape or form!

I don't use flash often, but it's always nice to have just in case...

Yuo will need an EX flash, EZ is the old type without TTL, it might flash but it will just flash at full power all the time regardless, it also may not even flash, but to be sure, just get an 'EX' flash (430EX, 580EX etc)

Thanks, I thought it might be backwards compatible, but obviously not. For the amount of flash photography I do, I shan't bother ;(
