Hi All,
I have been having some issues with my Canon 16-35mm Lens. :bang:
my camera body is 5d Mark II and its been with me many years, camera works fine on all other lenses I own, but lately this lens I keep getting Error 01 "PLEASE CLEAN LENS CONTACTS" I have tried cleaning, but still keep getting the error.
Sometimes if you turn off camera, take off and put back on it will work.. but then slight change of anything extreme either going towards full 16mm or 35mm the error would appear...
its getting to the point of now I need to fix it before my upcoming travel shoots, I don't know if I could claim on my insurance? or have to do the cost of repair myself? anyone know where I could get this fixed... or best yet know why this is happening?
also... I did drop my gear when it was on a tripod with this lens about two months ago... broke my Canon 580 Flash shoe at the bottem that fits on camera, need to also get this fixed so might have to use insurance for that.
I'm with Aaduki camera insurance.
