Event reminder programmes?

The older I get, the more forgetful I become.

Can anyone recommend a downloadable programme that sends me pop up reminders telling me I have to do something?

I used to have one that looked like a yellow "Post-It" note but as I mentioned above, I can't remember what it was called.

+1 for Outlook.. synchs nicely with a mobile phone as well.

The only reasons I've never switched to Mozilla Thunderbird/Firefox were the absence of a calander function and the pita to synchronise with a mobile.

StickyNotes (your yellow post-it style program you mentioned?) It's okay but...

I like to use the iPhone for all this stuff. It's always on me. It bleeps at the right times, I can also sync it with the mac/pc and facebook for personal messages.
