Evil 'thingie'!

Hi all,

First shots with my Canon 500D and Sigma 105 (just moved over from Olympus) so I still have to get to grips with the body and lens!

Anyway - went in my garden earlier looking for something to shoot - and spotted this evil looking thingie... Can anyone ID?

(I know the focus is just a bit too far back on this one )

I like the sharpness in the images despite the shallow DoF. The colours are great too. Interesting find. Do you see a lot of these?

No - not at all - was the first one I'd seen. I'd just gone outside to see if there was anything interesting about to try out the camera and lens for the first time - spotted that sitting on a rose leaf and ran back inside shouting 'macro lens, macro lens!' The wife thought I was a little
