Exif data

[merv]

How do I get the exif data for photos posted here please? I like looking at shutter speed, aperture etc so that I can learn the best settings. thanks merv:bang:

If you use Firefox, there is an extension you can download called "Exif Viewer". This adds a few options to the context menu when you right click an image. However, many posts have the EXIF data stripped from them by PP software so often you will not be able to read it.

I think you can see the exif if you copy the picture and paste it onto your pc.

On Flickr it is also available using Actions/View Exif Info although for some reason a lot of people make Exif data unavailable (not sure what they are trying to hide?)

Ernesto, I don't think peope are trying to hide anything but maybe that Flickr strips exif data by default (I think) and that users don't realise they have to tell it not to do that.

I don't think it strips it. The option in the user options is something like "show exif data" and I thought the option was checked by default.
