I take it you are still having problems with continuous shooting and the flash not firing every time

..also found that it will only fire continuously if the lens cap is off
why not get some more batteries and when they get low, swap them:shrug:
save yourself a few quid
i can fire my flash 13 times @ full power @3.5fps on batteries that are partly used (just tried it), my issue is that when the batteries are weak i miss shots alot of shots and this pack will just keep on going so no missed shots

What mode have you got it in. Switch to manual and select 1/1. That way it ensures you have full power selected
