couldn't you have placed the lens of the camera right up against the wire mess, and focused and what not! so that the mess doesn't show up. I don't know whether this works or whether it's just for shooting through glass to stop reflections:shrug:

In theory what you suggest would work to a certain degree, because you have to remember that the lens wont be as small as the hole in the mesh

Also it depends on the closest focusing distance of said lens...

Otherwise a lovely shot and of bird that i must say i have enver seen befor! Good stuff chief

Not for me, sorry, that fence is far too obtrusive. Pity, they're lovely creatures.

I think Woodsy's probably right about it being too close to totally get rid of the wire by using a big aperture too.
