Seems to for some cameras, my D700 (and iirc the D3) have slightly smaller slots which foul some of the adapters, so I haven't got round to buying one to try yet....

I think that you can get an eye-fi card to compact flash type 11 adapter, which may fit canons.
The nikons take type 1 cf cards, which are thinner and not thick enough to hold the eye-fi card.
Eye-fi have no plans to produce a cf version.
One or two people seem to have bodged adapters to hold eye-fi cards in nikons, but there is no guarantee of success.
